A national pharmacy recently selected Forefront Technologies to provide utilities for processing Electronic Remittance files (aka. ERA files and 835 files). There were two requirements they needed addressed. The first was to split the 835 files by provider NPI allowing them to be routed and posted properly by provider. The second was to correct some field values in their CareMark files and reformat them into a “more standard” format, allowing them to be posted in an automated manner. Previously they would load the CareMark files and submit an IT service request to have a SQL script run to correct the data prior to posting. Forefront’s utilities met both of their requirements - streamlining their Cash Posting process.
